Most water is wasted

a reduction in pressure means an immediate reduction in leakage

Most water is wasted before it reaches customers.

Where leakage is high, advanced pressure management is the most immediate action that can be taken, and the resulting benefits allow more costly programmes of leak detection and repair and mains replacement to follow.

Supply companies have begun to see the benefits of installing pressure management even where pressures are already considered low.  A 14% average reduction from 35m to 30m for example could reduce leakage by 16%.  A UK city of a million people with average leakage would save enough water to supply another 37,000 people.

And if companies saved more water, it’s more likely customers will do the same.
